Firbeck is a civil parish and has a parish council (PC) with 5 elected volunteer councillors and a paid clerk. This is the first tier of local government and is funded through a precept on the council tax paid by residents. The PC, working closely with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC), represents the local community, ensures delivery of services to meet local needs and works to improve quality of life and community wellbeing.
